It’s been a big year for Read by QxMD — adding preprints, congress abstracts, study summaries, journal clubs and much more. Equally, it’s been another big year for research and practice changing medicine with 1,611,741 new journal articles being added to Read, the most we’ve ever added in a year and that doesn’t even include all the other aforementioned new forms of research.

With more users than ever we have a lot of interesting insights into the reading habits of over 65 core specialties across the globe. Just for starters, for the first time since 2019 the top 10 most read papers doesn’t feature a COVID related paper, which is refreshing, but the most searched term is still ‘COVID’.

Below you can find the top ten most read papers, most viewed collections, most viewed journals, most searched terms and also the most read papers for your specialty — let us know if there is any other data you would be interested in!
